MLOps & Deployment Track
Coursework on packaging, serving and monitoring models in production-style settings. Designed for learners who want to ship and maintain models — not only train them. The track covers the full path from a trained model to a running, monitored service.
What you work on:
- Containerising trained models with Docker and serving them via REST APIs
- Setting up basic CI pipelines for model deployment
- Monitoring for data drift and performance degradation
- Writing deployment documentation that a team can actually use
How it runs:
Setup & foundations — environment, tooling, and basic model packaging
Serving pipeline project — build and document a working model API
Monitoring setup — add drift detection and alerts to your pipeline
Review & feedback — structured assessment of your completed project

- Documentation for each project that explains decisions and findings
- Resume and application material reviewed by your mentor
- Specific feedback at each milestone on what to improve and how
How it runs:
Initial session — discuss background, goals, and project scope with mentor
Project work phases — regular sessions with feedback at each stage
Portfolio assembly — organise and document completed projects
Application review — final review of portfolio and materials before finishing

Language Model Building Workshop
A hands-on series on tokenization, fine-tuning and evaluating text models responsibly. Includes guided projects and clear documentation practices. This workshop covers how language models actually work at the implementation level — not just how to call an API.
What you work on:
- Tokenization pipelines and dataset preparation for fine-tuning
- Fine-tuning a text model on a provided dataset with guidance
- Evaluation methods that go beyond perplexity and BLEU scores
- Writing a model card that documents what your model does and doesn't do well

Every project includes a documentation component. This is reviewed alongside the technical work, not treated as optional.
Responsible AI Practices
Evaluation methods, bias considerations, and model limitations are discussed as part of standard workflow — not a separate optional unit.
